Poet, Civil Servant, Educator
John-Michael Bloomquist lives in the DMV with his wife Victoria Miłuch and their needy black cat, Zbigniew. He works as a civil servant with NOAA and volunteers as a Solar System Ambassador with NASA. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mexico, where he lived very close to an active volcano. He has taught poetry in jails and English in Poland. His poetry has been published in The Michigan Quarterly Review, Third Coast, The Southeast Review, The Superstition Review, Aquifer: The Florida Review, and many others.
